Interesting. But two of my big concerns were mentioned in the article:
"Another skeptic surmised that if someone vomited while wearing the DSDC they would “choke to death or aspirate.” They added that the literal lockjaw was bad for “dental hygiene,” as it inhibited brushing and flossing."
While obesity is a huge issue (see what I did there?), I'm not convinced this is an appropriate tool for the tool bag. I would think liability issues alone from the previously stated concerns would outweigh (did it again...) the perceived benefits.

I saw that. BTW, I had a broken jaw several years ago, was wired shut for six weeks...they gave me wirecutters to keep with me at all times!
