As much as my human family, my fur baby is as close as my human child. My pet has saved my life several times. I do not choose to speak on specifics, but I will say he is trained in four life saving skills, he has been taught to communicate basic needs, he recognizes our personal vehicles from a quarter mile away, he knows the service vehicles when they come around. He understands my world and he has made his niche to live in it. He has been with me ten years. Although, he is designated as my emotional support animal and is skilled to be certified as a service animal, I have not and will not turn him into a working animal. He will always be "family".

PO3 Phyllis Maynard Our dogs are our children too. They will love you unconditionally. When they pass away it puts a void in our hearts. Thankfully humans have memories and photographs so they are always there in some form.

After Holly, Domino and Sally passed, we just couldn't get another dog. Those three gave us decades of love, but the losses got harder and harder.

Cpl Vic Burk I lost a Chow Chow and my heart was weak. Then this baby found my house a few months later. He does not take the place of my Chow Chow, but he is a wonderful new addition, to the family.

When We Had A Small Breed French Poodle, Mr. Murphy;
And Murph Had A Brain Infection Which Increasingly Got Worse, Eventually We Had To Have Him Put Him Down; And Quite Frankly, I've Yet To Forget How Painful That Was To Us All.-
