Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride (Live)

I am somewhat behind this Wednesday morning as I have been working on a document for my 75 year old Sister's Comminuted Intertrochanteric Fracture of the Right Hip, which occurred on January 2nd... So far, the healing has been minimal, so I wanted to document the doctor's records for the Rehabilitation Care Center she is in plus her group home nursing staff, and the Commonwealth of MA... Now with that said, I needed an uplifting "Rock" to spike my energy! LOL!

For my first Music Interlude for today and my Noon Hour song, I selected a song by Steppenwolf titled "Magic Carpet Ride" and it is a rocker! Here is some background information and lyrics:

"Steppenwolf was a Canadian-American rock band, prominent from 1968 to 1972. The group was formed in late 1967 in Los Angeles by lead singer John Kay, keyboardist Goldy McJohn, and drummer Jerry Edmonton, all formerly of the Canadian band The Sparrows. Guitarist Michael Monarch and bass guitarist Rushton Moreve were recruited via notices placed in Los Angeles-area record and musical instrument stores.

Steppenwolf sold over 25 million records worldwide, released eight gold albums and 12 Billboard Hot 100 singles, of which six were top 40 hits, including three top 10 successes: "Born to Be Wild", "Magic Carpet Ride", and "Rock Me". Steppenwolf enjoyed worldwide success from 1968 to 1972, but clashing personalities led to the end of the core lineup.
