I was stationed in the Pentagon from 1995 until 2008 and spent 3 years later as a senior consultant, my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel.
No doubt the letter(s) were intercepted at the Pentagon mail facility which is remote for obvious reasons.
1. Mail has been scanned since the earlier anthrax mailing incidents from Fort Detrick.
2. Post 9-11-2001 the security was ramped up significantly. A few days after I went though a test which included a radioactive injection, I was walking into a north parking entrance when the guards called me aside. I had set off the sensitive detectors. They scanned me with a hand scanner and instructed me to tell subsequent gates …
3. I was in the Pentagon for at least one bomb threat. I was working a night shift or 24 hours - I can't remember exactly. :-)
Dogs and security folks were clearing section by section focused on E-ring. :-)
Thanks for mentioning me Sgt Kelli Mays

LTC Stephen F. After a Little Research, I've found out You Try and Buy Castor Beans, You're Probably going to Have Some Problems unfortunately though the Plant is a Common and Popular Decorative Plant in this Country so you can grow Your Own. Only Found the Plant Outlawed Outright in One California City, Go Figure.
