Please do not comment if you are still serving in the Military in some capacity; a/o where potentially your job, livelihood, or position could be at risk.

No my friend SGT Jose Perdelia-Torres the USA should not be funding Critical Race Theory philosophy in military colleges, leadership courses or the military service academies including the Merchant Marine Academy.
Caveat I am a USMA graduate from the class of 1980.
1. Critical Race Theory (CRT) is Marxist in origin and according with Marxist constructs it seeks to restructure society in accordance with its principles.
2. CRT attempts to rewrite history, economics, achievement, etc.
3. As a student of history for over half a century, I am saddened and sickened by all attempts to rewrite history from a 'modern' perspective. History is best understood through an understanding of the mores, economic principles, technology, manufacturing and scientific social and military structure
Background from {[/criticalrace.org/what-is-critical-race-theory/]}
CRT is an 'outgrowth of the European Marxist school of critical theory, critical race theory is an academic movement which seeks to link racism, race, and power.'
"Unlike the Civil Rights movement, which sought to work within the structures of American democracy, critical race theorists challenge the very foundations of the liberal order, such as rationalism, constitutional law, and legal reasoning. Critical race theorists argue that American social life, political structures, and economic systems are founded upon race, which (in their view) is a social construct.
Systemic racism, in the eyes of critical race theorists, stems from the dominance of race in American life. Critical race theorists and anti-racist advocates argue that, because race is a predominant part of American life, racism itself has become internalized into the American conscience. It is because of this, they argue, that there have been significantly different legal and economic outcomes between different racial groups."

Well put. We are losing our history, and losing history means we lose the nation. American exceptionalism is being marginalized in order for some to consolidate power it seems.

Not being able to respond to your question if on Active Duty without repercussions, just proves how fucked up this country is. And Rally Point is just another Bull Shit leftist website. These marxists have taken over. In the past 50 years or so they have been indoctrinating children through the education system while their parents were out trying to make a living. They used to be hidden, tucked away. And then along came Obama. He opened the door and they came out of hiding. Hell, today they are as open as can be about their agenda. Like Obama said, The United States will be TRANSFORMED. I would hate to serve on Active Duty in this time. When I served you couldn't join with a mental illness. Now, the government allows mental illness to join. Yay!!! Now the government will pay for my sex change. Actually the taxpayer pays for the sex change and all the life long medication. What a Joke!

Well, I know I'm crass! And I don't apologize for it. Being Woke is a real thing. It blows my mind that there are soldiers right now TRANSITIONING while on active duty. Have top military officials lost their damn minds? I hope we never have a real need for a combat ready military. PFC Steve is turning into PFC Eve. And with hormone therapy how are they ever going to be deployable?! They aren't, these wackadoodles found out they can join the military and have that gender reassignment surgery on the taxpayer's dime. In my opinion they should be placed in EOD units and deployed without mine locating equipment! Lol

CRT has no place being taught to our soldiers, sailors and airmen. It is divisive in its nature and promotes the idea that the very structure of our nation in all aspects is racist. Our service members need to be working as a team of people that can work with each other without animosities, anger and generally, feelings that would be detrimental to the efficient execution of the American military's mission.

The U.S. Military is not thew place for social experimentation. I have said this on many occasions and I stick to it. It's not the place for transgenderism (Another subject and while I have nothing against those of transgender as people I do have a problem with them in the military.) It's certainly not the place to teach THEORIES of racial inequality to a group of men and women that are supposed to be looking past race and only worrying about the color of their combined blood. It does not promote a desire to defend the nation as a team when you are teaching a THEORY that the very structure of that nation should be torn down to its foundations to be rebuilt into something else. What that is to be is maybe purposefully left to the imagination of all, but there certainly hasn't been any sort of suggested solution beyond the destruction of what is currently there, leading anyone with two brain cells to rub together to the conclusion that the goal would be pure chaos. This shows me that it does not deserve to be taken seriously, let alone wasting our service members time by teaching it to them as if it were a fact and driving divisive ideologies into our fighting force.

Beyond that it also bears mentioning that the very way it is presented in every situation I have seen it, it appears to be nothing more than a rip off of the Communist Manifesto but without any real portion of it being presented as a realistic solution. All one need do is replace Bourgeoisie with White and Proletariat with Black. I say this in the aspect that CRT simply breaks our society down to that. White = Oppressor, Black = Oppressed. I reject this premise in modern America as being patently false, especially when applied to the sub-society of U.S. Military life. Not to mention I have a major issue with something that shares ideology with Marxism communism being included in the training regimen of our service members in any other capacity than being shown as a hostile ideology in conflict with those of the United States and the capitalist socioeconomic system that has been proven to be successful for our nation that we have all sworn to defend.

I'm not saying racism does not exist in this nation. It does. It has and it always will no matter how much effort you put forth to try and crush it. In fact, the more you try to crush it with stupid, over the top woke-ism and half-baked theories such as CRT you will invariably, if not inadvertently, create more racism where it may not have previously existed. This is one of the reasons it has no place being taught to our military service members.

When you continuously drill into someone that they are a particular thing they will eventually begin to believe it. Our military by its nature is indoctrination from the very first day you step off the bus on your first day of attending basic training you are being indoctrinated and for a large part continues throughout your military career, however long that may last. That indoctrination is supposed to be that of being a team and part of something larger than yourself, loving your fellow service members enough to fight and make sacrifices for each other to fight and win America's conflicts. To be able to do things most civilians would not be able or even willing to do in order to ensure the survival of this nation under our laws and our constitution from all threats foreign and domestic. In short, selfless service and sacrifice to this nation. This CANNOT be done while also teaching this theory that the structure of the nation isn't worth saving and that our White service members, by the nature of the color of their skin are naturally oppressive to those service members with darker skin. This does not strike me as the way to develop cohesive team members. Call me old fashioned. No matter how you feel about the validity of the theory, it has NO PLACE being taught to our service members and is counter-productive to the mission of the military. It is divisive in its nature and can serve no good purpose to being taught to our troops.

As basic training and military careers are in fact an indoctrination into the military mind set and mission in and of itself, there are those that wish to make CRT a part of that indoctrination in order to further the propagation of this theory into our culture and to change the face of our military into one of social justice rather than that of its actual mission of fighting and winning our battles.

I will also say, I served in the military from 1988 to 2001 before being medically discharged. I served with some of the finest people from all walks of life. All colors, creeds, religious and ethnic backgrounds. Very rarely did I encounter racially driven issues. I have had minority subordinates, commanders, team chiefs, platoon sergeants, first sergeants and command sergeants major. All professionals and very successful in their careers. The U.S. Military has some of the best structures and systems in place to ensure equality of opportunity across all of its members and is more successful in this endeavor than any other organization within this country if not in the world.

CRT is the last thing this military needs and needs to be purged from any training programs that exist.

Yes, CRT should be taught. This is CRT in a nutshell: When one race uses legal means to suppress another race.

It is not the Boogey Man the right makes it out to be however. Russia, China, Europe, and just about every empire that existed on this earth used legal means to suppress the freedoms of minorities. And hell yes, us democrats were hugely responsible for a lot of it back in the day. However, our party CHANGED. We are no longer the Antebellum South. You know who is down there now. The democrats who couldn't change their views on using law to suppress minorities BECAME REPUBLICANS. The conversion of sothern democrats to republicans BECAUSE of the 1964 Civil Rights Act proves my point.

Really?? The democrat party changed??? When did that happen? Last I heard the last known Klansman in Congress was a Democrat. Hell, Obama and Biden spoke at his funeral. Oh how they said great things about the West Virginia Grand Cyclops. Isn't it the Democrats that told woman that they don't need a man to have a family? Just have those babies and we will give you more money said the Dems. What's the stats on fatherless black men in prison? 70% or more ain't it? Dems force business out of urban areas with heaven regulation and taxation. Who is it living in those areas that are losing their jobs and being impoverished? Seems every evil thing that can be done to minorities has been done by Democrats. As for CRT, teaching people to be racists has no place in our military. Hell those evil lies have no place in America but Dems are gonna force that shit on our kids.

And Democrats became communists, which is the biggest reason my southern granddad and others voted for Nixon. I grew up hearing way more about Johnson and Kennedy's and Humphrey and McGovern being soft on communism than I did about integration. These men all fought in WWII and some in Korea. The thought of having gone through that to stop two tyrannies in the '40s only to see Mike's and stooges for Moscow give it away in the '50s and '60s angered them tremendously...even enough to convert to the "party of Lincoln," as they only half -jokingly called GOP as late as the late '60s.

Prejudices aside, these men grew up in and worse a uniform that said "U S.," not CSA...that was another century, and people are often a product of the times they're born into.

So, when do good patriotic "Democrats" now realize their party has long been captured by the Hillarys, Obamas, Schumer's, Pelosis, Schiffs, Nadlers, Swalwells, Kamalas, "the squad," BLM, ANTIFA...and abandon it? They're destroying this country and you're still talking or alluding to busing and Jim Crow. Seen our border, sanctuary cities, nat'l debt, war on cops, green agenda targeting American industrial powers and energy independence, children murdering children, politicization of everything from Disney to the NFL to CDC?

No! Not only no, but hell no! Do not teach a system of thinking that divides people based on skin color. The DoD spent over 40 years teaching its members just the opposite. We must foster equal opportunity and treatment with teamwork. Dividing up by race, gender, religion will hurt readiness and service members themselves

Focus on warrior skills and patriotism. If you want Marxist indoctrination, read whatever on your own time, NOT on taxpayer time. Teaching troops to despise each other is treasonous. It's a very good thing you weren't a career Soldier.

Of course, it will divide our nation and create a common enemy. That way, we can judge each other by color rather than action.
Let’s not stop there. If we can create even more chaos at the US southern border, we can help the Cartels earn huge amounts of money off of the poor and drugs.
Yes Sir, creating misery and hardship while throwing a few bucks to the poor will get us one party rule.
Then, we can turn our attention to those evil unwash Americans. Especially those armed to the teeth Red Neck Nationalists. They are soooo 20th century.

Perhaps you should put as much energy and effort into your writing as you do spreading racist tropes. I notice you entirely avoided answering where you get your statistics.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - "The study compared the UCR statistics with those from the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS). Whereas the UCR relies on reports of criminal arrests submitted by law enforcement officials to the FBI, the 2018 NCVS was based on interviews from 151,055 U.S. households. Thus, the NCVS identifies crimes that are not reported to law enforcement. In the 2018 NCVS, Blacks accounted for 29% of violent crime perpetrators in 35% of the violent crimes reported to police. By comparison., the UCR statistics showed Blacks were 33% of all people arrested for violent crimes."
This quote is from the DOJ June 2021.
Since I'm lacking in educational skills, perhaps you can tell everyone what is 29% of 33% of violent crimes reported to police? If this is uncomfortable for you, just call it a racist post.
Black male criminals are in the news a lot. It's not that whites or Hispanics don't commit violent crimes. It is just a minority commits so much. My previous posts on reasons why have simply been skewered by you and those who follow your logic as racist. Yet, you have never made any commit on what can be done or what our country should do to correct the issue. Instead, it is always angry with your tone and all the time. You are no help.

Cpl Mark A. Morris - Apparently you are lacking educational skills as you are not equating your statistics correctly. 29% perpetrators in 35% of the violent crimes (not 33%) equates to roughly 10% overall, and yet 33% of individuals arrested were black. Can you explain this disparity?

You better learn the numbers better if you are going to try to use match and statistics to hide your racism.

Agreed, but don't forget that the border and sanctuary cities aren't only about fostering crime and drug breakdown of our society, it's about securing tens of millions of future blue votes by creating another permanent underclass. And they're burning this country to the ground to achieve it. GOP is a speed bump of the feckless, the spineless and the scared. A third party was needed when GOP allowed Clinton in on a plurality...twice. instead, GOP did nothing and ended up putting crown in the head of village idiot Bush. The rest is history. That led to Obama and that was IT. Now, after negating '16 election, he has his 3rd term finally.
