Since trust is something that has to be earned between people, is it also something that must be earned by God? Does he get a free pass?

Cpl Robert Russell Payne I read the responses and my heart chilled. Jehovah GOD is Sovereign. My faith, he does not earn anything, he does not get a pass. In HIS Sovereignty HE made HIS son a gift to man as a sacrifice for our sins that we may get a pass. Then HIS son Jesus ascended to Heaven alive and not dead ad the King of kings and Lord of lords; Jesus the Christ. Of the comments that have been made, which one has the power to forgive sin or deliver us from the shadow of death called COVID-19? Earth is under the rulership of satan. Until the return of Jesus with his Army in Armegeddon to defeat satan and restore the Earthly Paradise, satan will dispense chaos, sickness, and death.

Cpl Robert Russell Payne I think you misunderstood me. Jehovah GOD is Sovereign; HE is the free pass. This is my belief according to the Christian scripture teachings. I was mad at GOD just last night, really mad. I said "why the hell does he not hear me". In summary, my mother said, would a mere human question GOD. Jehovah created me, not me HIM. I look at it this way, as a child my parents did not have to earn anything. I am the child of The Living GOD. Will a man curse GOD?

Cpl Robert Russell Payne - since when does the created have to demand that trust be earned by the creator? The creator could squash you like a bug, if he so desired.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence And according to the Old Testament he did exactly that if he didn't get his way. If he couldn't win then he rigged the game. As Jacob about the wrestling match. Jacob won the match but God is such a sore loser that he had do something that at the very least would be considered unethical.

I have read many responses to this question, and I have come to the following conclusion:
It does not matter what anyone else thinks. If you have faith, then that is all that matters. If you do not have faith, then no argument will sway you. If you have to ask the question, then you lack faith, and no one here is going to bring you back to it. Of course, you could just be asking to justify your lack of faith, and ease your conscience.

I am asking because it us a serious question.I have faith in Jesus and his teachings. He earned my trust. God has to earn it as well. He doesn't get a free pass. Earn it!
