What is an appropriate definition for the Humor group on RallyPoint?

I have been taken to task for inappropriate tagging of humor over the past week or two. Since there is no description of Humor in the About section of this topic group I thought it made sense to ask this group what the definition should include or alternately exclude.
How would like to see the Humor group described? Why has nobody described it yet?

Humor is something that is funny. We don't all agree on what is funny, to be sure, but I follow the group so I can find funny things in my feed. I don't want news stories or anything else, really. I want funny military memes, hilarious stories about Drill Sergeants and Generals and Privates, and the best clean jokes on the internet. I don't want stuff put in the group just "to take the edge off" of a serious discussion or news update.
Just my two cents.

Here's a hint. If you have to explain it or ask about it......not humorous.

Hey I find it funny when a person gets kicked by a horse and lands about 6 feet later - after I'd told them several times about proper horsemanship skills and they don't listen, but hey I'm one sick old man. What's humor - that's like asking "What's normal". As long as we maintain our proper military bearing (I shouldn't have to explain this) then it's anyone's call.

I agree with the major, but instead of funny stories and jokes, I see a lot of odd ball stuff stuck in Humor.

Its totally subjective. Some people claim to not be offended by comedy and that they want the days of not worrying about political correctness back, yet when they hear jokes about cops shooting people or jokes about Trump they pull their head back into their shell.

Good question. Humor is hard to define because it tends to be personal. Think Readers Digest military humor and silly animals and kids. Hard to go wrong there.

Sure, Readers Digest over the years has published really funny material, however, you can spot good comic material in everyday life and it needn’t be personal. Wink. Wink. Some call it morbid humor.

As long as there’s no ‘Irony’ group or tag, anything goes! :-) humor is subjective...

Great question. Look at comments from comedians on the subject. Most will say that PC has killed Comedy. People today get offended over Here's Your Sign type material. Make a Group called The RP Group for the Perpetually Offended and I'll join for the comments alone.

Im not sure being PC has ruined comedy, there are plenty of comedians out there still telling offensive jokes. The problem is when talking in chat rooms of message boards your tone and inflection mean jack and shit. People read words with whatever tone they want the words to be in and not the tone the writer intended. Also if you're not a comedian don't try to tell that funny black person joke you heard Chris Rock tell that one time. It just wont work haha.

I'll join to provide them with "offensive" material to keep that condition in flames.
