It's shame so many are overlooked, Sgt Trevor Barrett. However, I'm glad at least some eventually are recognized.

We had one here in New Hampshire a few weeks ago for a WWII vet, and one a couple of weeks ago for a 'Nam vet. With two in such a small state, one has to wonder how many others there are out there. I know especially for WWII there were several medals that were Congressionally approved after the war had ended and after most guys were out of the military. Many of those veterans never got them.

Absolutely Sgt Trevor Barrett - the award system has always been broken in my opinion, so I'm glad this individual got the medals after 45 years!

Response is above COL Mikel J. Burroughs happy and slightly pissed at the same time. I like to say better late than never, but it should have never happened and corrected at the time of service. Just me.

The system definitely needs to be gone through and fine tuned, JMO.
