Pre was the man, still inspirational. Has anyone read, "Shoe Dog" from Nike founder Phil Knight? He discusses some background into Pre's death and what he feels was his responsibility towards that. Great book.

Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that January 25 is the anniversary of the birth of American middle and long-distance runner Steve Roland "Pre" Prefontaine who competed in the 1972 Olympics and once held the American record in seven different distance track events from the 2,000 meters to the 10,000 meters.
