We are finally starting to put it all together on how this works...I suspect some things are "hard wired" while other combinations just "raise the risk". Obviously more work is yet to be done.

Not a genetics but, that said, this looks like you could have a gene that might predispose you to a mental illness. Doesn't mean you have one.
Under the right environment.....may be upbringing, stress, etc..... You could develop one???

Sgt Vance Bonds it also seems that prenatal environment matters too...maternal stress or illness during brain development may have an impact as well

Lt Col Charlie Brown That would make sense. Hormones would have an effect. I think. Especially Stress Hormones. Oh! And drugs......Bad stuff that. Especially for an expectant mother
