I've been for giving the MiG-29s to Ukraine from day one but I think we may have passed the point where they will be effective. The failure of the Russian Army on the ground has led to the use of more stand off weapons fired from the air and sea. Those systems do not enter Ukrainian airspace to release a weapon so now the emphasis needs to be on systems that can destroy a warhead in the air. Those systems exist, the Soviets had very effective SAMs, I trained to evade them, so I'm leaning more towards giving those Soviet era SAM'S to Ukraine along with the long range air defense systems we've already announced.

Jack this makes sense since the Russians can fire surface-to-air missiles from their territory and hit and hit Ukrainian fighters not to mention low level air defense artillery and manpads can get them as well.. Thank you my friend LTC (Join to see) for posting the perspective of Jared Isaacman "a billionaire and astronaut, may be the only American individual to own a MiG-29 — the Russian-built fighter jet line that has become the center of an international diplomatic conundrum in the global effort to aid Ukraine.'

To be honest the skill of pilots and their ability to coordinate with others in flight, etc is more important that any particular person's perspective.
The USA has world-class SEAD pilots and wild weasel type aircraft while the Russians seem to have never needed this capability [since WWII]

LTC (Join to see) MIG-29 is still My Favorite but You're right the Man in the Drivers Seat makes all the difference! I'd love to See a US Navy Pilot Tearing up the Sky with a MIG-29! Now Biden being "Weak" better than a "Suka" "Puppet" for Putin that Trump was!

A year later and we still haven't given it any aircraft to Ukraine though the effectiveness of them may be in question, president fight and waited forever to train up tank soldiers. Remember, President Biden only impose sanctions on Russia AFTER the invasion.

I may not be in the same position as Governor Ron DeSantis and other Republicans are today but I sure don't like $360 billion dollars from the inflation reduction act being given to other countries to make them get away from fossil fuels when we should take that 360 billion to restock our ammunition that has been partially depleted and we should probably build a second tank Factory because tanks that were meant for Taiwan are probably going to be sent laterally to Ukraine instead and Taiwan paid for 105 Main battle tanks while Ukraine is asking us to donate.

President Biden and especially vice president Kamala Harris are not able to do things properly or on time.

With today's Revelation that 3 million went to the family of the biden's, I'm not sure if you will be changing your mind on who is a puppet?

It really upsets me when you hear Al Gore and John Kerry brag about it and want to take Indonesia away from coal and pay them to go to wind and solar when China is joining forces with Russia and pretending to broker a peace deal.

I have also mentioned my disgust that the US Navy wants to put two dozen ships in the reserve Fleet while China keeps building ships like gangbusters including building for aircraft carriers in The Last 5 Years. We've already had one rear Admiral warrant of a war with China in the next four years and we've had an Air Force Major General recently do the same telling his Logistics Pilots to aim for the head when doing your pistol qualification because he expects war with communist China in the next five years. Neither of those two flag officers care the least bit about climate change!
