Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL for mentioning how adaptive sports help active duty, veterans and families through recovery. They certainly can benefit people who are recovering.
This subject reminded of US Navy Veteran Brent M. Combs who was murdered this April. He served in the rehabilitative and adaptive sports program at Martinsburg, WV VAMC at the time his body was dumped in the basement of my son who lived near the hospital.

The Fisher House Foundations and its programs are great for service members and their families. I don't think many would survive without its support.
