Totally agree with this article, we stopped managing federal forest and just let it grow, while putting out natural fires that would have over time burned the lower trash. Now after decades of just letting it grow and die we have a tinder box just waiting to go up in flames. In nature there used to be occasional fires to burn the trash and undergrowth leaving the sturdy strong trees, now the fires burn so hot they damage and kill off most of the standing trees as well.
