Interesting my friend PO1 Tony Holland To be honest when I see anybody referred to as an inanimate object like a chair as opposed to chairman or chairwoman I have to chuckle. Coming from yahoo.com is also funny. Yahoo seems like a name Duffel Blog might have created :-)
I searched FOX News which I don't usually use for any reference to Ronna McDaniel and there was nothing resembling what is posted on the aptly named Yahoo
According to what you posted a link to, that references Huffington Post
"The GOP chair appeared on Fox Business on Wednesday to basically moan about the way the media has covered the president’s trip to Europe.
She then suggested that Trump should be a main focus of the 75th-anniversary commemoration of D-Day.
“We are celebrating the anniversary, 75 years of D-Day,” McDaniel said. “This is the time where we should be celebrating our president, the great achievements of America, and I don’t think the American people like the constant negativity.”

LTC Stephen F. The tweet has a link to the Stewart Varney clip; easiest way to get the actual broadcast piece.

The bottom line is she did make that statement in an interview on Fox Business which these days acts more like a political network and not a business-financial information network.
Implying that media should be celebrating Trump and his accomplishments on D-Day anniversary is plain ignorance. I also agree that the media should not have been pushing non stop negative coverage of Trump either. Mention the protests as part of overall response to his UK reception once or twice then focus on D-Day remembrance stories.
Of course it didn’t help when Trump made interviews on D-Day about him (re: Ingraham interview before a ceremony in France). Not to mention his tweeting before arrival and during visit don’t help.

By the way, using the expression GOP chair or DNC chair is equivalent to saying chairperson making it gender agnostic.

I had to chuckle at gender agnostic MAJ James Woods since agnostic indicates "nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God" :-)
These days the word gender has a lot of baggage associated within.
I think something like non-specified gender would make sense without offending anybody ;-)

I think Trump is acquitting himself rather well on this trip so far.
Folks back home in the USA that need to fill the air with political talking points, not so much.
I think her point - poorly made - was that news coverage of the events Trump was attending were negative despite any evidence to the contrary.
The bottom line is that if Trump wants to drive the news in a positive direction, he should focus on policy, not rhetoric.

Your bottom line is spot on. His tweets throughout this trip and his interviews where he can’t help himself criticize and attacks his opponents and make it about him instead of focusing on his foreign policy and vision doesn’t help his case.
