Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that December 29 is the anniversary of the birth of American actress Mary Tyler Moore who is best known, outside her family, for her roles in the television sitcoms as single woman working as a local news producer in Minneapolis Mary Richards, on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977), and The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966), in which she played Laura Petrie, a former dancer turned Westchester homemaker, wife and mother.
Rest in peace Mary Tyler Moore!
