CW5 Jack Cardwell, I served briefly with COL Mize in the 20th SFG(A). He was the Senior Army Advisor, and it was his last assignment before retirement. I was a sergeant when I met him in early 1972.
The photo is of Medal of Honor recepient COL(ret) Ola Lee Mize at the 50th anniversary celebration of the 20th SFG(A) on July 18, 2009 in Birmingham, AL. The stone marker to COL Mize's right rear was placed there to honor him and was rededicated that same day.
