Slightly related to this story my dear wife came home from WalMart with a pair of pants for me, as my only other pair was getting frayed. I noticed the new ones had been 'Made in Vietnam". How ironic now I get to wear pants made in Viet Name and purchased at my local big box. I knew there was a reason for our sacrifices in RVN, esp stopping the Commies from spreading, and bringing a democratic future to RVN, etc. Sounds a lot like present day bromides from our fearless leaders to justify the lives of our warriors.

I have a similar thing that happened to me. Our CEO purchased named tagged jackets - they were made in Nam. It's hanging in my closet at home and I just don't know what to do with it.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski - Keep it as an unpleasant reminder of how we all were betrayed by our own government.

My 3rd Vietnam deployment was to began on the 13 of Feb 1973. Our aircraft and gear were on board the USS Coral Sea and ready to go. We got the call to stand down and the deployment was canceled.
