The Chiffons - One Fine Day - 1963

I don't usually post much music but I remember this one well. (I had just seen it on a TV infomercial.) I was a High School Sophomore when it came out. Hope you remember it or at least like it.

One of my all time favorites, SSG William Jones! I was headed to my HS freshman year when it came out in the summer of ‘63.
It was written by Carole King and her then husband, Gerry Goffin. She covered it in 1980 and made it her own hit as well!

Oops... CarolE King with an "e". Btw, I am not a huge supporter of PBS other than faithfully watching "Last of the Summer Wine", because of their blatant leftist bent and the fact that they receive taxpayer monies to broadcast lefty tripe.

There’s some stuff that is broadcast on PBS that I really like, SSG William Jones, so I’m faced with the same dilemma. My wife and I also like many of the British productions, especially Downton Abbey.

SPC Nancy Greene, Carole King is one of many artists who started their career by writing songs. Somewhere along the way, they'd decide to give their own voice a chance. There were many of them back in the sixties. Kim Carnes also comes to mind.
