Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. Trying again to post here. Got a busy Tuesday with Red Cross and a couple of other appointments to take care of.
Too often we see just what is on the outside and take that for the truth. If this political season has taught us anything it should be not to believe most of what we see and hear as it is all being manipulated to make us react one way or another.
On a more personal level we also make these judgements when we meet a new person; we have a first impression, much of that based on what we see on the outside and it can be very difficult to overcome that. We have to work hard to see past the outside to what's on the inside.

I expect your personal and professional integrity is impeccable and I hope your transparency of character does you justice. No doubt your humility is genuine and you do not put on airs in social interactions since you have self-confidence and have no need or desire to demean others. 'But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 'For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.' [Matthew 13:16-17 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray for an increase in humility for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters dear LORD – especially for those seem to be aloof. Thankfully LORD, YOU oppose the prideful. YOU are always aware of the state of each of us and YOU know when we get close to boundaries YOU set for us. 'Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ [1 Peter 5:5 ESV]
I lift the humble, the honest, the widows, the widowers, the outcasts of society and the homeless to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU bless each with a large measure of love tonight. Protect each one from the elements and those who wish to harm them. Give them eyes to see and ears to hear what they need to do to keep them safe and secure. ‘But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him’ [1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV]
As far as the so-called leaders who think they have the right to LORD it over others based on their rank and position, I pray that YOU convict each of them and guide them to repent. For those willing to repent and seek forgiveness, I pray YOU make it clear that they should be service-oriented and they need to respect each individual they interact with. ‘Continue in brotherly love. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.’ [Hebrews 13:1-2 ESV]
For those who refuse to repent of pride in position, knowledge, their personal appearance and other self-focused characteristics, give each their just deserts LORD. ‘But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good. [Titus 1:15b-16 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Tuesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Wednesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Great point and advice - that is something that is missing my friend in a lot of businesses and by leaders of those businesses, they have blinders on PO2 (Join to see)...

“What you see is usually what you get, and we’ve seen many examples of that here on this forum. Look beyond any toxic leadership or personalities. How you see yourself is so important and always keep that in mind. When you see low caliber character and integrity – just walk away from it and don’t comment. Those who judge without knowledge should remember this quote about others…

‘Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.’ — Unknown Author

May you look beyond what you see and always stay positive; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. See what you see with eyes wide open.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

As they say, perception can be a pure b***h. Understand what you really see, strive to understand what the other sees, and proceed from there.

I hope you all perceive a wonderful Tuesday, RallyPoint!

Great advice that can be used right here on this forum 1SG Steven Imerman, but sometimes you can't teach new techniques and skills to those who don't want to learn or they're too full of themselves and you just get what you see ---- blaaaah!
