Good “Saturday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse,” and all great connections. Welcome to the weekend from the “Eagle’s Nest” on the road for “RIPRIDE4Vets 2021” in Belmont, NH! — 12 June 2021!
Day 10 is in the history books– Left New York City and almost lost the bike in some the potholes going North and then some pretty rugged highway that is in some desperate need of repair until I got into Connecticut and Rhode Island. I rallied with the Nam Knights and Rolling Thunder Riders right across the state line in Massachusetts and they escorted me to the Elk’s Lodge where Sgt Kerry Harkins put on an awesome show and presentation with all the riders, we had great food, and some awesome donations were made. The Nam Knight and Rolling Thunder Riders escorted me to the New Hampshire border and then I was off to my good friend Alan Korb and his wife Stevie’s house for the evening. We had a great dinner at Fratellos Italian Restaurant. (See Pictures Below)
Day 11 of 21 will be a ride out to Portville, NY where I’ll be meeting a veteran Sgt Randy Wilber for dinner and spending the evening.

I pray that you bless each one with ears to hear YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU sift corrupt and dishonest judges like wheat and convict them to do their duty honestly as in the parable of the unrighteous judge. For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. I don't know how you do it Col Burroughs...up and at it, it seems earlier and earlier. Ride safe!
Fairness, a topic we hear a lot about. Any time we start to have a discussion someone it seems complains that "it isn't fair" Fairness is something that is a judgement call and perhaps something to strive for but as Tom (my spouse) ended up telling his 4th grade class at least a couple of times a week, "life isn't fair, we do the best we can with what we have" as someone complained about the color of the paper or the marker they got or some other silly thing. Somehow that didn't stick, and it became, "You get what you get, and don't have a fit" which I thought was hilarious but appropriate when the students themselves taught it to every new kid that joined the class.
If we do this, if we take what we've been given, what we've earned and do our best with it, there should be few if any regrets at the end of it.

Good “Saturday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the overcast skies of the Greater Boston area today... We had rain overnight... It must have held off to give you some great New England Sunshine yesterday! LOL! It was so good to finally meet you in person, Mikel and I know the ELKS, DAV NAM Knights and Rolling Thunder MA CH 1 enjoyed everything about your trip from Manhattan, the Escort to the ELKS, our Meet and Greet, and the great barbecue luncheon served by the outstanding Norwood ELKS Staff and Volunteers!!! It was an awesome day, Mikel! Safe travels on your continuing journey... Note that I have created a short video of your Arrival and Departure from some clips I took and some photos as well... LORD I pray for sound judgement, wisdom and compassion for each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. Enable us to judge wisely whenever we are called upon to judge anything from food preparation to major project design through serving on a jury. I pray that you bless each one with ears to hear YOU dear LORD. 'If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. I hope and pray that you and I are alert to the Holy Spirit and YOUR prompting as we listen or watch people attempting to fool us into believing their errors in judgement, deceptions and/or evil intentions. I pray for an increase of wisdom and discernment for each of us. ‘And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. [2 Corinthians 12-15 ESV]

c. Isaiah 1:17 ESV 'Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.'
d. James 1:26-27 ESV 'If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is to visit widows and orphans.’
I pray for efficiency in justice in the court systems. I pray for wisdom for judges and justices as they listen to, read, evaluate the evidence and arguments – especially in the Federal Courts, appellate courts, and the Federal and State Supreme Court. I pray that YOU sift corrupt and dishonest judges like wheat and convict them to do their duty honestly as in the parable of the unrighteous judge. For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily.’ [Luke 18:4-7 ESV]
