I so wish I could have followed this when I was younger. I think we are all ourselves until a certain age and friends influence more. When that happened for me, I worked hard to be something and someone "they" wanted me to be. When I got to a certain place in my life and career, I looked at where I was and evaluated the things I did not like...and I changed them. Great Monday motivation on President's Day Col. Sorry had little contact with the real world last week- mission first.

Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs Drinking lots of coffee and pretending to be coherent this morning.
We can be who others expect us to be or we can be the best version of ourselves. The first one leads to frustration, anger and stress and the latter to satisfaction and achievement. Why then, do people so often choose unwisely? They are overly concerned with "fitting in" or impressing someone else. That's exhausting and it wastes the energy you have for getting things accomplished. So try this....

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Great quote from Goldie Hawn too bad she didn't follow her own advice and leave her face alone. She was awesome looking until she had plastic surgery on her face. Sorry for the side stepping away from the true meaning of the quote Charlie - Couldn't pass that up. Changing your looks isn't who you are in my book! I agree with all your comments above about trying to fit in and pretending to be someone you're not! Be who you actually are is the right answer and if you're not a good person then make the adjustment ASAP. You and Tom have a great Monday Charlie!
