In my experience, family, true friends and our spirit have a much greater resiliency and capability to bounce back from disasters than either work or personal health.
Heavenly Father, YOUR balance of all creation is magnificent and fearful and wonderful to behold. Hurricanes and peacefulness; periodic floods and drought; destructive pestilence, genocide, and warfare are balanced by increased birth rates and reconciliation among the nations. YOU are master of all that occurs throughout creation.
LORD I thank YOU that YOU have made each of us resilient. Our resiliency is enhanced when love is present and recognized. YOU call us to be childlike in faith and trust and to bring our praise, fears, thanks and concerns to YOU. YOU know everything about us and yet YOU desire fellowship and openness with each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters.
LORD I thank for a resilient spirit primarily. YOU have made our bodies with limited resiliency. COL Mikel J. Burroughs - I have to leave on New Year's Day to support the Red Cross so we plan to make it a quiet early night. I am working to get in shape as I suspect I will need more surgery in early 2019 and I want to be in the best possible condition going in.
