Good RED Friday COL Mikel J. Burroughs This statement itself resonates for me as we've spent two weeks helping the Guard get ready for deployment.
Sometimes things get to us and we feel like we can't do the things we need to. Then someone gives us a feather of hope and our spirit lifts. We can go on. I saw this over and over again this couple of weeks. People came in heads down and left, if not with smiles, at least with determination.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I think so. But we're getting into disaster season so who knows?

LTC Stephen F.
I pray that you and I are free from guilt, shame, and unrighteous anger and that our mind/soul is unburdened and free to soar, my friend and sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray that each of us who are YOUR adopted sons and daughters, are eternally thankful that YOU have justified each of us at the point of our salvation. YOU see each of us through the merits of the Cross as free from all sin and guilt. I pray that YOUR light and love shine’s through each of us to reach others – especially family members, friends, co-workers and other we have contact with.
I pray dear God, that each one who is grieving tonight will offer up their burdens to YOU in earnest. For those too broken to speak, I pray that YOU will accept the cry of each one and take up their pain, anger, and any feeling of guilt and replace them with peace and the ability to sleep soundly.
For those parents inspire their children to be able to honestly share their minds, hopes, dreams, hurts and guilt by demonstrating actions of transparency to our spouse and children as appropriate for their maturity.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good R.E.D. Friday my RP Family. Today is a glorious day which the Lord has made. A beautiful day to be flying. In my search today, I came across an article entitled “Traits of the Eagle and How It Pertains To Our Christian Walk.” I took jus an excerpt from it, but the entire article is very interesting. I hope that you may take the time to read all of the article. I excepted a part dealing with Eagles being master fliers. I pray you find value in it to apply to your lives. Have a blessed day as we remember everyone deployed.

2. Eagles Are Master Fliers
As a result of being able to learn how to fly on those strong wind thermals, eagles are considered master fliers. They can fly to heights that no other bird can. They have been seen flying as high as some of our airplanes fly.
If eagles have to be careful not to expend too much energy in flapping their wings because of their size and weight, then how can they fly as high as some our modern day airplanes? The answer is in their ability and skill to ride and fly on these strong wind thermals.
This is why you see eagles literally soaring at times on these wind thermals, with their wings being spread straight out and no flapping being done.
In the same way, we as Christians can learn how to be master fliers by learning how to be led by the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.
Just like eagles depend on these strong wind thermals to take them to heights that no other bird can fly to – in the same way we can be taken to heights that we may have never dreamed possible if we will just learn how to be led be the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.
Just think how much more good fruit we could produce, and how much more we could accomplish for the Lord in this lifetime if we could all learn how to be really led by the Holy Spirit on a daily basis, and how to really walk with His power and anointing flowing through us.
Again, this is something that can be learned if you are open and willing to be taught by the Lord on how to do this on a daily basis.
It is the job of the Holy Spirit Himself to teach you how to be personally led and empowered by Him so you can fully accomplish everything that the Lord has set out for you to do for Him in this life.

Thank you, my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs for posting on Friday August 16 that your focus is on "Wings Day!"
Caterpillars build cocoons and emerge as butterflies to pollinate flowers as the flitter and flutter about on their wings of many colors.
However, some caterpillars emerge as moths which are the bane for people who have woolen or cotton clothes. Yet those who produce moth balls and cedar wood chests and plans for closets are thankful that moths are pests :-)
Airborne school in 1979. As stick leader, jumping up and out of a C-130 - looking at the plane and the paratroopers in the windows before the parachute opened and drifting down to earth - views of the Chattahoochee River with Alabama beyond and Fort Benning below.
UH-1 Iroquois helicopter with feet hanging in the breeze clinging fast to my M-16 to ensure it did not fall out as the helicopter banked port and we looked out almost straight down and then banked starboard and we looked heavenward.

2. Science fiction author Ray Bradbury knows from what he spoke about imagination "Go to the edge of the cliff and jump off. Build your wings on the way down."
3. Canadian figure skater and painter Toller Shalitoe Montague Cranston statement is sublime and poignant "Wings are not only for birds; they are also for minds. Human potential stops at some point somewhere beyond infinity."
