Good morning to all my Brothers and Sisters wherever you are on this Monday morning!!! Today is catch-up day for me as my wife and I spent the weekend on Cape Cod in West Dennis, MA and West Yarmouth... One of our sons and his wife have a beautiful Beach house in W. Dennis while my oldest daughter and her husband have a wonderful beach house along the shores of West Yarmouth, MA... We don't get to see our adult children much these days...

Today is: “Accuracy Day!” Why Not?

"Accuracy builds credibility." - Jim Rohn

"Accuracy is the twin brother of honesty; inaccuracy is a near kin to falsehood." - Tryon Edwards

The first duty of a newspaper is to be accurate. If it be accurate, it follows that it is fair." - Herbert Bayard Swope

"The game of life is a game of boomerangs. Our thoughts, deeds and words return to us sooner or later with astounding accuracy." - Florence Scovel Shinn

"I have always made an effort to render every detail of my reality with the greatest accuracy; but I have never paid attention to whether my presentation of historical facts was an exact one." - Lion Feuchtwanger

"Accuracy means something to me. It's vital to my sense of values. I've learned not to trust people who are inaccurate. Every aviator knows that if mechanics are inaccurate, aircraft crash. If pilots are inaccurate, they get lost-sometimes killed. In my profession life itself depends on accuracy." - Charles Lindbergh

I expect you invest time, energy and thought into improving the accuracy of your written statements as well as financial ledgers such as checkbooks. No doubt you put significant effort into fulfilling your responsibilities, supporting your family, assisting friends and neighbors. I expect you have helped many others and you have applied your hands, feet and mind to assist others in solving problems. ‘I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.’ [3 John 1:2-3 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

I pray for keen insight, good communication ability, and good listening skills for each of your adopted sons and daughters who read this prayer or listens to it. I pray for genuine humility for each of us as we develop solutions and approaches to solve issues. LORD enable us to be more childlike and less selfish as we interact with those who we live with, work with, and whose path intersects with ours. ‘Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance, to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles.’ [Proverbs 1:5-6 ESV]
I pray that the LORD blesses each of us with discernment as we are faced with decisions especially when there does not seem to be a good choice available. I expect that you have learned the mutual benefits of investing time, talents, resources, and energy in many noble and worthwhile activities. In all likelihood, you are very effective in leading those who depend on you to develop approaches to complex issues. LORD I pray that YOU enable each of us to judge wisely whenever we are called upon to judge anything from food preparation to major project design through serving on a jury. I pray that you bless each one with ears to hear YOU dear LORD. 'If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. [Mark 4:23-24 ESV]
I pray for genuine increase of moral courage, honesty, and desire for fairness for each trustworthy legislator, judge, justice, government executive, appointed official, and leader. I pray that YOU bless them with wisdom to solve the issues facing their community; endurance in doing good for those within their jurisdiction; sufficient patience and listening skills to hear what they need to hear; and selfless love to make decisions which are honorable and will bless many without hurting anyone. 'But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith.' [1 Timothy 6:11-12 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Monday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Tuesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Rally Point. I have personal experience with this. Whenever I don't take the time to check the accuracy of something I end up regretting it or doing it over. I try not to let my desire to get things done or posted, get ahead of my ability to check and read them. Whenever I do, I regret it. I take shortcuts when I can but even those need periodic checks to make sure they still "lead" where you intended them to go.
Fast is good, accurate is better and not having to do it over or apologize is best. That's why I love this particular quote; it reminds me of what is important.

Good morning all my friends on RallyPoint! Accuracy itself is the condition of being true, right, correct. We use accuracy to describe hitting the mark, marksmanship. The Greek word, hamartia, means off the mark, missing the target, and eventually it meant a tragic flaw leading to one's downfall. In early Christianity it meant error, missing the mark, sin. Accuracy is staying true to your target or goal. In early Christianity this was following the path to God, hitting the target. The thing about marksmanship is that through practice we become better. We get better at hitting the mark. We should all strive for accuracy, not just on the range, but in all we do.

Have a great day all!
