Thank you my friend TSgt Joe C. for continuing your series of posts focused on your birth state of Massachusetts - in this case the focus is on Wayland in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Wayland Railroad Greenway Project - 2003
"The Town of Wayland, Massachusetts, is undertaking a project similar to the Bedford Depot Park project. Primary goals of the Wayland Railroad Greenway Project are to preserve local railroad history and provide public amenities, possibly to cyclist along a future rail-trail. In this video that was recorded in 2003, Richard Conard of Wayland's Historical Commission explains the proposed project and highlights history of the Boston & Maine Railroad Central Massachusetts Branch, a former rail line that passes through Wayland. The Freight House was restored after this program was made."
