The word “works” used in Matt 5:16 means, in part, “tasks, deeds, actions.” All Christians and those who want to serve God should do actual good works and deeds in society which will help people realize the Heavenly Father sees them and loves them. Words alone are often empty to the oppressed, the suffering, the needy. Jesus Christ Himself was the ultimate example, moving about the population in His time showing kindnesses, feeding the hungry, delivering the oppressed and relieving peoples’ suffering. (And consider John 14:16– we can do greater things ?).
If a person is an invalid or handicapped in some manner, they can still do good works to glorify God. Some examples: giving money or goods to help others, sending someone else to aid others, encouraging by phone, sending something by mail to help or cheer up, and of course, prayers.

To balance the Word, James says, “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith, but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,’ but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also, faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead…!” James 2: 14-20

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - Billy Graham made a great impact on the Earth and innumerable sacrifices in his 100 yrs of life. Mr. Graham has been responsible for leading multiple millions to salvation in Jesus Christ (a staggering accomplishment to most Christians ) and he preached to 210 million or more people in more than 185 countries. For most of his 100 years, he poured out his life to serve Christ and humanity the best way that he could. (More about him in the Wiki article.)
So it seems ok to me that he flew first class, had one or more expensive cars, expensive housing. Hope these things gave him some comfort in his down time from all his crusades and traveling. (Imo, he deserved those comforts far more than many others in this world.)
