Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. I have my Red Shirt ready to go today with another RC event in the works. Much to do but at least the sun is shining here.
"Get a grip" is something one hears when dealing with those who get overly emotional or too taken with a particular issue. Sometimes we do that. We invest too much of ourselves in something that isn't particularly productive and then have difficulty finding our way out of it. One of my former first sergeants had a sign that said "get a grip" and he would just point at it when someone came in ranting about another military member. It's not that he wasn't prepared to listen (and act, if necessary) but sometimes the issue gets lost in the noise. So if you feel you have something that needs to be attended to, get a grip, think it through, whittle it down and do something about it.

SFC Chuck Martinez me too. I refuse to live in the past; it's like an old photo. It can't be changed but as time goes on the colors and images fade.

I hope you are focusing on what really matters and that you have the moral courage and self-discipline to improve your relationship with those who depend on you. I expect you are spiritually mature and that your trust is in the LORD and your foundation of character, principles and hopes is rooted in the rock-solid foundation of the Christ. ‘Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: ‘he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.’ [Luke 6:47-48 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray for discernment, clarity of purpose, and requisite skills for each deployed service member and police and investigative agents, border patrol agents and others focused on security at home and abroad. I pray for the families and loved ones of each – open lines of communication between family members and their deployed loves ones, guide parents to help their children understand the importance of written letters, and guide them to share pictures, hopes and dreams. I pray for firm foundations each married deployed person’s marriage. I pray for an increase in trust and trustworthy behavior. ‘Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.’ [Ephesians 5:31-33 ESV]
I pray for an increase of good care, treatment, and respect for patients in hospitals, hospice patients, out-patient patients throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, India, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, and Australia LORD. I pray for humane treatment for prisoners in Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaya, Saudi Arabia, throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK and France. 'Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.’ [Hebrews 3:1-3 ESV]
I pray that each adopted son and daughter of God who reads or hears this prayer places primacy on our personal relationship with the LORD. God is righteously jealous of love for HIM. WE demonstrate love for HIM by loving those He places around us and leads us to interact with. The vitality of our love for others is only as strong as our relationship with the LORD. ‘So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.’ [Matthew 10:32-38 ESV]
I pray for wisdom, common sense, and selfless service for the honest and trustworthy governmental leaders and judges in the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, France, Egypt, Israel, India, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, and Australia who are doing their best to solve the intractable issues that matter most to their jurisdiction and constituents. 'Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.’ [Philippians 4:8-9 ESV]
I lift the corrupt governmental leaders and judges in the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, France, Egypt, Israel, India, China, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, New Zealand, and Australia who are focused on achieving their own selfish desires including amassing wealth and power at the expense of others; chasing after pipe-dreams, and benightedly relying on poll results in lieu of a firm foundation of character and principles. They place their faith in materialism and their foundation is on shifting sands. ‘But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.’ [Luke 46:49 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Friday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Saturday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ

I would love to see some more bald eagles. I saw some along the Nolichuckey River just off I-26 in East Tennessee about a year ago, never since. It was sight to behold. Our national bird is beautiful.
