Twenty U.S. defense department medical personnel have been sent to help Riverside University Health System — Medical Center handle the continuing surge of coronavirus patients, Riverside County officials said Friday, Jan. 8.
The team consists of active-duty physicians assistants, nurses, and respiratory care practitioners from the Army and Air Force and is part of a state request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to support hospitals statewide, a county news release states.

I recall some posters saying the DOD does not have the medical personnel to augment hospitals. Some other posters claimed the US Government do not have the authority to help states. Stupid.

With implementation of DHA and the goal of reduction, it has been harder to support. The VA is in good shape however the difference is they can tell me to get to Cali and the VA can refuse. Everyone needs to contact their Congressional delegation and tell them you want more, not less DHA staff. We are expensive but well trained and seasoned.

MAJ Ken Landgren Defense Health Agency, they have all the branches medical departments under one roof.
