What was the worst day in your military career? That day where you spent every moment not being chewed out, screamed at, or whatever, watching the clock waiting for it to end. I will share mine after I hear a few others.

SFC (Join to see) roger that, it was on May 4, 2005, while I was on Baliff duties in Kuwait from Iraq. I learned my friend SSG Randy Collins was involved in a IDF attack in Mosul. When I arrived back at Ft. Lewis I learned he had passed away. This was the worst day ever. I lost my best friend in the military. Life has never been the same without him.

I'm sorry for your loss SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I still tear up when I read of our military deaths. I just looked at his shadow box on TWS where i also have an account. If you are in touch with Randy's family, please express my sincere condolences.

My condolences SFC. Davis. The military definilty changes a person in more ways then one. Loss seems to be the greatest change we face. Prayers for you and all that knew your friend.

It is hard to determine which was my worst day SFC (Join to see)
Contenders for my worst day overall:
1. passing out drunk between the railroad tracks and the road in Kemmern, Germany in 1982 and being taken by Polizei to the MPs at Bamberg an waking up in the holding cell.
2. getting the worst senior rating from a BG at Bamberg in 1984 after regaining my driving privileges after loosing them from a General grade Article 15 based on #1
3. being served with a no-contact order while recovering from a cardiac catheterization in May 1995. That kept me away from my young boys for weeks. Eventually that wife divorced me and remarried. I was able to have contact with my sons and regained custody in 1999.
4. being a co-chair with a former POTUS political appointee in 2002. I was trying to do my job in this additional duty as a LTC while this 2-to-3 star equivalent loved to demean the current president in the meetings and insult me whenever he could. I ended up having mitral valve repair surgery early in 2003 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
