Thank you, my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell To be honest, since Japaneses subs patrolled off the west coast and German U-boats patrolled off the Atlantic coast - not to mention the Gulf of Mexico , the U.S. Coast Guard interacted with enemy vessels in the CONUS waters often.
