Where do you feel WWIII will erupt, if it does? Why will skirmishes boil over the rim into a war involving Allied Nations?

I personally do not think we will ever approach WWIII. We will continue to have skirmishes such as they are around the globe. We will continue to bog down in the mire we create as we think winning hearts and minds like the glory days is how to win. The problem at hand is not everyone values what we value. Not everyone yearns for freedom despite what they teach us in PME. Culture, language, stereotype, greed and power will always limit several third world nations. We will continue to wage our wars there. My opinion only.

MSG Loren Tomblin - IF the Bible has been written and edited by man, why hasn't anyone updated it for modern times? Instead, we see the horsemen of the apocalypse, not driving Mustangs, but riding them. One has to merely look at the beauty of nature, a sunset, the northern and southern lights. Did man create them?

The only thing I know for sure is no one knows! We generally stumble into war through miscalculation over a period of time. I do not see another war on the scale of WWII for a lot of reasons but regional conflicts will no doubt continue to erupt all over the globe and we will undoubtedly be come involved is some. For the soldier on the ground the fight is the same .

Anytime a nation or group of people are kept in poverty and stress (for food, safety, lodging, religious freedom, etc.) long enough can erupt (like a cornered wild dog) into war. North Korea, India/Pakistan, all over Africa, Syria, Iran, Israel, South America, Ukraine, Poland, China, etc. are all subject to pulling the world into war and war without warning. Military alliances, a NATO perceived as weak and divided, or a foolish move by any major power to take over, defend, or invade another country are powder kegs. Finally, failure to strengthen the UNITED NATIONs, NATO, the WORLD BANK, etc. and any neglect in helping with humanitarian aid, education, and medical help to those areas already in desperate need could lead to war.

Odd how we refer to War as if it is singular. How many Wars' are being fought right now? How many private contractors are there stationed around the world. For sure they are needed, but do understand, war is ongoing, not in the future. And the budget for the Shadow Army is 600% that of the 1940's/

When WWIII erupts it will potentially be closer to WWII with an axis of evil than WWI which was the result of complicated alliances which drew nations together.
Your choices CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana are limited to south and east Asia most likely because a significant portion of the world's population is located there.
You didn't offer other or none of the above, unfortunately.
Certainly a regional war is possible
1. because of oil and mineral deposits in the south China Sea.
2. because of the hegemony of North Korea and its bellicose attitude. I expect that DPRK will tamp down its rhetoric this year.

WWIII will most likely erupt in the Middle East with southwest Asia, northern Africa and the former-Soviet stans [Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan] being drawn in initially. The waterways of the Persian Gulf and the Suez Canal are vulnerable to cutting off oil.
The intrinsic animosity of Shia to Sunni has made that area vulnerable for many centuries.
Egypt has been a stabilizing influence while its neighbors Ethiopia and Sudan have been boiling pots for radicalized Islam in recent decades. South Sudan is volatile.
The Arab winter destabilized many of the more stable nation-states in north Africa as well as Syria to an extent.
The US and USSR may potentially be allied against Turkey and much of western Europe in this potential conflict - I would expect UK and Australia to be on our side in this effort as well as Israel which the Muslim-dominant nations consider to be a pernicious thorn.
I am picking DRRK not because I think it will be a global issue but because it is the least unlikely of your choices.

The population of those aforementioned countries are canon fodder. The population is more farmers than militant. Just like Viet Nam all they want to do is survive. I was an infantryman/interpreter back in the day. All they want is to survive even if the governments want to control them.

China hands down! Their current long-range plans have been on trajectory since the Central Committee's "White Paper" was published in 1978. Their current Belt and Road initiative is in parallel with the build-up of the PLA and its "Blue Water" navy. As they continually exploit access to U.S. universities and think tanks, meanwhile harvesting American research/development fall perfectly in line with its acquisition of access into foreign ports and airfields. Access to resources and markets are the ultimate prize! China's South China Sea buildup, Afghanistan geological field exploration, along with growing African and South American import investments means China seeks an even greater role on the world's stage. Its ambition will eventually run head on into the U.S.'s traditional sphere and eventual collision will be a certainty!

It will erupt in America when the balance of power shifts far enough Left for the Right to wake up to the danger, the very real danger of totalitarianism replacing individual liberty, and when the Civil War commences, the other totalitarian nations of the world will decide it is their best chance to eliminate the one force that has restrained them.

If and when we go into anarchy in the US (It won't be a Civil War like we thought, there's no way to identify personal beliefs .How do you have sides?), A1C John Weiss mentioned above that others powers will use that as a reason to get involved and take us down. One EMP burst would move us back to the 19th Century and we would be spoils for the taking, with only small bands trying to maintain. I hate to even think of it that way, but it would make the most sense.

Not to make this political, but what stance would the military take given such a scenario? A recent poll suggests the current military supports Biden over Trump (which I find difficult to believe).
