Well we had another active duty-veteran take their life. Two have been female and I don't know about the other as it has just happened. The total comes to 3 suicides I have knowledge of so far this year. I'm at a loss of what to do. Apparently the VA and the ARMY are not doing their part.

It is really sad but I also want to emphasize that alcohol is a factorate many of them. My sister.
Committed suicide and she was an alcoholic.
Here is an example of a battalion commander who committed suicide after getting drunk and complaining to his friends at the drug enforcement agency that he hated his job. His friend was my team leader. Do not be afraid to call the Local alcoholics automus chapter and go there for meetings.

Its easy to blame alcohol because no one is then forced to examine the underlying cause of why they were trying to numb themselves with alcohol in the first place. Alcohol was not involved with 2 as for the latest one I have no info other than they jumped from a bridge.

An Edmonton man who stabbed his mother to death in a cannabis-induced psychosis was sentenced to three years and nine months in jail.
