Interesting Capt Gregory Prickett thanks for sharing. With all of the killings of security force personnel including police officers, I would tend to tip the balance to toward the police while respecting the rights of journalists. Anybody filming a police station without clear permission should not consider it an infringement of their rights to show identification when asked to by authorities.

SPC Billy Lanier and none of what you said about the camera person negates that these are terrible cops that violated his rights and the law, oh and it's indicative of the behavior I've personally witnessed from all of them

From the start of the article it's clear that the writer is baiting you to think that using a video camera in front of a police station is somehow wrong or suspicious. The opinion that this (not so smart move) is illegal, wrong, or strange a reason to approach the video recorder and ask them to identify is not the right answer. Nothing illegal about what the guy is doing, and the hot tempered cops need to stop acting like hornets. It's a public building which ironically has many cameras on it and pointing at it, so what's the problem? Bull headed thinking. There is no such thing as failure to identify, it's a trick that is used to escalate. Show me your papers when standing on a public street is unconstitutional, no matter what your argument might be.
Did the government issue you an ID? No! There is no government ID issued to civilians.

The photographer is trying to provoke the police. If you're gonna be stupid ya gotta be tough.

Capt Seid Waddell - What is a pity about violent criminals being punished? What you call an attitude adjustment is under the law a felony whether it is a cop doing it or not is irrelvent.

Capt Seid Waddell - I guess by now you realize that prickett and kerr are a couple of intellectuals who know everything about everything. If you don't believe me, just ask them. They will be more than glad to talk about themselves.

LOL @ Eddie. I don't know of anyone who would think I lived my life as an intellectual.
