Good RED Friday morning Col Burroughs. One of the exercises we do with the kids in our Red Cross workshop is a pause button. We all have that skill should we choose to use it. We practice doing that...pause, reflect, reset and come up with a different response. The kids really take to it; so much so that parents come to ask me where they can buy a "pause (reset) button"
Seriously, we don't have to wait to change our mindset. Any time you see you are headed down an unproductive path is a good time for a reset.

I expect that you are a conscientious leader in your family, group of friends and those you work with or serve with. No doubt you are aware of your own strengths and weakness as well as those you lead. Hopefully we each take time to rest, replenish sustenance and fluids, and reset and that we ensure those we lead and work with take time for themselves. The LORD instituted the sabbath for our benefit since HE does not need rest. We need different amounts of rest/sleep to be refreshed at the various times in our lives. 'Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest' [Hebrews 4:1-3 ESV], my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray that the post-Federal election reset will be peaceful this November and that law and order will triumph across the USA as well as Europe, Canada, Mexico, India, Australia, Philippines, South Korea and Japan.
I lift troubled areas and troubled people to YOU LORD. I pray for an increase of common sense, good judgement and trust in neighborhoods across political divides, faith divides and between citizens and police forces. Enable each of us who are YOURS to be better at peacemaking.
I pray for a reset of the educational systems, increased honesty in news organizations and social networks, increased respect of individuals across this land and the relatively free nations across the world.
I thank YOU LORD for dwelling with soul of each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters. You refresh us as we need refreshing well before we recognize it. Empower us to serve without being corrupted. 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.' [Romans 12:2 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Friday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Saturday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Great advice and quotes, one today's leaders need to follwo as well Charlie...

"Everybody, no matter who you are needs to know when to 'Reset' or hit their internal 'Reset Button' in order to regroup, refresh, or just relax every once in great while. Leadership reset is critical in today's environment, otherwise we end up with leader 'Burn Out,' which can result in disaster for units and companies alike. May you always know when your body and mind is telling to reboot and rest; may you always have a positive attitude toward this recommended period of reset in all of your activities; may you continue to eat right and exercise; and keep you family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. It's time to reset." — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

COL Mikel Burroughs good read/share: for the Colonel's Motivational Quotes of the Day. Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty ROCKY MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THIER EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICIENT on this day October 16, 2020 as you might glance upon the mighty snow capped mountains headed into the month of November . As you know I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contracting Management Agency. It is good to have some time on my break to respond my friend.

Today's them is “Reset Day!” Roger-that my friend, I quote, The Quote in the Picture Today Reads: “Re-set, re-adjust, re-start, re-focus… As many times as you need to.” — Unknown Author

The picture depicts my inner-thought:

Thanks for your depiction of the topic 'Reset' my very good friend SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL Being retirees in the military we know all about reset Joe...

Good R.E.D. Friday morning Burroughs' Posse Leader from an overcast day here in the greater Boston Area...rain is forecast... Finishing breakfast & heading to the shower... Back shortly to finish up...
Back... “Reset Day!” Why Not?

My Quote:
"As one commences his/her adult life there are many challenges, many forks in the road and it can be confusing...and it is good to know that if one pauses for a moment in a quiet time and place and just think of the possibilities ahead, one can reset a goal, reset onto a better path and succeed... Is it time to reset?" Kerry Harkins October 16, 2020

1) "Homeless shelters, child hunger, and child suffering have become normalized in the richest nation on earth. It's time to reset our moral compass and redefine how we measure success." - Marian Wright Edelman

2) "We all get so caught up in the moment of what we're doing every day, it's hard to hit that reset button and get pulled away from all that and see life from a different perspective." - Tony Stewart

3) "I usually head up to the mountains or out into the desert. Somewhere nobody is. There I can dig deep and find the core that got me where I am today. It's sort of like my reset button." - Nathan Parsons

4) "A few moments of inner peace and quiet allows the brain to reset itself. You become more centered as this happens, since the brain is clearing out distractions and too much "cross talk." - Deepak Chopra

5) "It's not only moving that creates new starting points. Sometimes all it takes is a subtle shift in perspective, an opening of the mind, an intentional pause and reset, or a new route to start to see new options and new possibilities." - Kristin Armstrong

Know this:

“Leaders have to know when to regroup and alter the way they are showing up for the organization – leadership reset.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
