Battle for Thuong Duc begins - Sep 28, 1968 - HISTORY.com

A battle begins for the Special Forces camp at Thuong Duc, situated between Da Nang and the Laotian border. The communists briefly captured the base before being driven out by air and artillery strikes. They then besieged the base, which was only lifted after a relief column, led by the U.S. 7th Marines, reached the base and drove the enemy forces out of the area.

A year before i went in the Army and three years before i got ot Nam in 71 SP5 Mark Kuzinski and LTC Stephen F. thanks for sharing.

We are able to read a three-sentence summary of what took place at Thường Ðức Camp in September and October 1968. I expect for those who lived through those days would have more memories of what took place than could fit in many books.
