Thank you my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown for posting the unsurprising news that lay people should not wear valved masks like the king military, police and federal agents are issued for protection in chemical biological risk environments.
They don't want infected people to use masks with unprotected valves or vents so as to reduce risk to others.
The most important aspect about using a mask is to take it off using gloves to avoid touching any droplets which would be formed by other coughing at you.
Obviously they are focusing on masks without filters at the valve.
