Love listening to this! Ma’am thanks for sharing! Always been fascinated by string music. Had thought about learning to play Bass Guitar after getting conned into playing with a Rock band in Germany ones while serving my first tour there. One of my soldiers often played for the local NCO club with some of his friends when we weren’t in the field. One night he asked me to watch their performance to see how talented they are and I agreed. Couple hours before they were supposed to start I get a call from my private if I could come right away that they had a problem and urgently needed me to come. Thinking they might be in some trouble I raced to the club. As I came in I got bombarded with “Please Sarge we need your help tonight playing” one of the players was out that night with a bad fever and assigned to quarters. I told them I could not play any of their instruments since i only learned to play the Recorder and beginning piano in elementary school. They assured me i could play the bass guitar and could even sit to play it since it sat on the ground and began to show me for each song they would play what strings to use and when. Two hours later when we started i thought i was going to faint when i saw all the people that would be watching and somehow with the encouragement of my private and his friends took part in a truly amazing experience. Two hours of lessons and i was playing N.I.B. by Black Sabbath and didn’t miss a beat. By the miracle of God I managed to make it through it all and surprised myself that I was able to do this. Often thought about taking lessons for it but let life get in the way of it. Bongo drums is another i always had the urge to play; still might do it after the kids move out again.

And at the very bottom of the current posting of it I found this beautiful song called “My Logan Love” but with my slow internet connection here I had to go to YouTube to listen to it here: https://youtu.be/BYT5NKAIYI8

It’s My Lagan Love, not Logan; haven’t figured out how to make corrections to my posts yet, or if I even can once it’s posted.
