Enzo Anselmo Ferrari, Cavaliere di Gran Croce OMRI[1] (Italian: [ˈɛntso anˈsɛlmo ferˈraːri]; 18 February 1898[2] – 14 August 1988) was an Italian motor racing driver and entrepreneur, the founder of the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix motor racingteam, and subsequently of the Ferrari automobile marque. He was widely known as "il Commendatore" or "il Drake". In his final years he was often referred to as "l'Ingegnere" (the Engineer) or "il Grande Vecchio (the Great Old Man)".

Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that February 18 is the anniversary of the birth of Italian motor racing driver and entrepreneur Enzo Anselmo Ferrari, Cavaliere di Gran Croce OMRI who is the founder of the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix motor racing team, and subsequently founded the Ferrari automobile marque.
Rest in peace Enzo Ferrari!
He was focused on speed and he considered his passenger cars to be a sideline as he focused on faster racing car development.
