Thanks for making us aware Maj William W. 'Bill' Price about the Facebook online Cybersecurity University for Veterans which has no cost that will be held from Saturday February 3, 2018 to until April 21, 2017.
THIS IS AN ONLINE COURSE.
Hopefully each and every veteran who could benefit from this training will meet the application deadline of January 16, 2018.

Course Description: The Cybersecurity course focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of web application security with the aim of providing a foundational level of knowledge matched with offensive and defensive skills developed through hands-on experience. Students will learn the basics of cybersecurity and common vulnerabilities and attacks, receiving hands-on practice in both exploitation techniques and strategies for protecting and hardening applications. Developed in partnership with Facebook, the course introduces a wide range of topics via a combination of sessions, videos, projects, and labs, giving students both a thorough grounding in the details of cybersecurity and an introduction to the broader landscape of information security.
Details: Course meeting times: Every Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm for 12 weeks starting in February 3, 2018
Course meeting location: 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025
Course Duration: 12 Weeks
Time commitment per week outside of class: 5-10+ hours
Who may apply?
This is a diversity program for veterans who are currently students with some CS/IT background or has a CS (Computer Science) degree. Please only apply if you are able to be on campus during the course and are fully committed, since spots are very limited.
