Mail Call Lock N Load R Lee Ermey Snafu's Salty Bloopers
A Paid Dvd set from the famous show mail call on the history channel
Talk about a valuable momento. I have both seasons of mail call on DVD. Amazing how you can get it now on YouTube but I really like the one where he makes all the mistakes.

That was pretty cool seeing how they put the movie together and the behind the scenes things. I've watched Full metal jacket a number of times. Some of the Vietnam scenes were familiar ground for Me especially the start in Da nag on the Marine side of the base. The actual location of that gate depicted in the movie and where the VC in the movie came from many a time I'd been to the actual place in 1968-69 while I was serving in Vietnam and the place outside that gate called Dogpatch. Went through more than a few Rocket, mortar and ground attacks myself at Da Nang. The Marines 1st MP BN, had a section of about 25% of the perimeter on that side including a gate , the Air Force and my unit, 366th Security Police Squadron had 75% on the rest of the base and two more gates onto the base. We had Air Force K9 Patrolling our are and also the Marines Perimeter areas as the Marines had no dogs there. We had 45 K9, all German Shepard's. We actually did also have some Marines living in our huts that worked on our Flight or what they would call a Platoon. One Marine Sergeant E5 We used as one of our Squad Leaders. The other Squad Leaders were all Air Force. All the on Base mortar batteries were operated by the Air Force with .81 mm mortars and actually other Marine units outside the wire requested and got our mortar support.
