It is a catch 22... if I read the Amendment correctly...The President could be removed from office under the 25th Amendment and the Vice President would be sworn in as President. Then the Vice President, who would now be President, must select a new Vice President. Continuing the scenario, then the New President could be impeached and the selected Vice President would be come President, but if something were to happen to both the President and Vice President that neither could fulfill the Presidency, then the Presidency goes to the Speaker of the House... Brothers and Sisters, I think we are in trouble...

I disagree with impeachment, use the 25th Amendment. Impeach Harris and Pelosi also.

It's actually not Schumer or any of those others next in line - President pro tempore of the Senate is Patrick "Leaky" Leahy, followed by Secretary of State Blinken. That's no comfort, I know.
However, using the 25th Amendment would set a horrible precedent. The intent was clear, and Biden may be a horrible president, but he doesn't meet the intended definition of "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office" - not able to discharge them well is not the same as unable. Abusing it in that way would be blatantly unconstitutional.
Neither will happen until there is a massive change in both chambers of Congress. It's far less likely that "the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments" would vote to remove him than a change in both House and Senate could allow for impeachment. Not sure there's a provision for impeaching a VP, so taking both out at the same time and swearing in the Speaker of the House (which, should impeachment be successful, would be whoever replaced Pelosi) is virtually impossible. And that is about the only viable alternative prior to January 2025.

Lt Col Mark Avery - Sir, I'm not sure. Have you watched President Biden in a press conference? He is barely able to string together three expository sentences and often wanders off on a tangent. He also has a tendency to lose his temper and snap at the person asking a question he doesn't like. And if none of that works, he is likely to whine, "Come on, man! I mean, come on man!" I'm not sure that he is not exhibiting incipient dementia. Unfortunately, I have personal experience with that condition in my family, and President Biden is exhibiting some worrisome symptoms.

In the 21st century impeachment has become weaponized and generally ineffective especially if the impeachable target is supported by majority or parity in the Congressional legislative bodies.
1. On the one hand, I concur with my astute friend PO1 H Gene Lawrence that the utilization of the 25th Amendment makes more sense.
2. I would start with impeachment for Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken since the State Department was primarily responsible [at Secretary level - Biden is where the buck stops] for the disaster of the Afghanistan uncoordinated withdrawal.
3. I would also launch impeachment against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Adam Schiff, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Maxine Waters then Nancy Pelosi as the mid-term election results are finalized, then Kamala Harris.
