My favorite author, Maj Marty Hogan! I've read all her works at least twice and I can't count how many times I've read Pride and Prejudice! I've read explanations of and critiques of each work. I've even read works that put customs, fashions, incomes, etc. of the time into perspective. One of the best explanatory works is "Jane Austen: The World of Her Novels" by Deirdre Le Faye. Once you become an Austenophile (and you don't realize it until you're knee deep into her works), there's no going back! SP5 Mark Kuzinski LTC Stephen F. "Song For Jane Austen" filmed in Bath
A song about the plans Jane Austen laid to secure her place in history. Sung, presented, and co-written by Swiss actress and opera singer Clara Chevallerau, ...
Thanks for letting us know Maj Marty Hogan that December 16 is the anniversary of the birth of English novelist Jane Austen who wrote the novels Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Mansfield Park (1814) and Emma (1815). Although written in the early 19th century they still resonate today.
She died relatively young at 41 1/2 years of age.
My darling wife loves Pride and Prejudice most with Sense and Sensibility and Emma behind.
Rest in eternal peace Jane Austen.
