From a strategic perspective it was sad day when President Nixon suspended the bombing above the 20th parallel which signaled tacit agreement with the North Vietnamese position SP5 Mark Kuzinski. This seemed to be a token of good faith to an untrustworthy group of communist diplomats.
Some things are learned the hard way. This was one of them; but, unfortunately some choose to forget the lessons of the recent past.
