Thanks for sharing Tell Me Something Good by Rufus & Chaka Khan SGT (Join to see). In May 1975 while stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky as I was 12B Combat Engineer, the benighted leadership thought it would be a good idea to have an outdoor concert which Pure Prairie League, Rufus, Earl Scruggs and Joe Cocker before 17,000 soldiers and family members.
Draftees were still in uniform and racial tensions were high in those days. When Rufus and Chaka Khan left the stage many black soldiers left in a bad mood because Earl Scruggs was on the stage performing. They started some fights which escalated into other brawls.
Based on the trouble the post canceled the June 14, 1975 concert.
