Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL for sharing an interesting video which brings back memories for me in my enlistment in 1974 and my first duty station of Fort Campbell. When I enlisted my hair was shoulder length which fell in heaps by the barber chair.
When I got the 16 immunization does from the injection "gun' in bursts of 4 injections I stood still so my arm didn't bleed much. However I ignored the waning to not smoke, etc. and passed out and hot my head of the asphalt :-)

The sound tack reminds me a little of Neil Young's song Southern Man which would have been inappropriate to use as background to an Army documentary about training in southern Army bases.

Since you mentioned the title, here is Southern Man by Neil Young.

I have had this video in my head since 1968 when I left the Army as an instructor at Ft.Polk La. And have stated before that it has always haunted me if I did enough, showed enough, explained enough of my experiences in Vietnam to help get someone home in one piece, hope so.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL Outstanding! Love It! Even then the Army did some Pretty Good Propaganda. Get them Lads Psyched Up. 8 Weeks? Nowhere Near what they Needed before the Stepped into the Hell that Was Vietnam but I don't Know How Much More Training would get You ready for a Nightmare Ride!
