I am a pessimist, I believe we have passed the point of no return. Not only is America split but most of the world is as well. Many Americans do not recognize the necessity of stopping Covid 19 and the varrients before they mutate into something that will not be stopped and may remove the majority of people on earth. Extremest both left and right want their way and are willing to destroy America to get it. I see no hope.

I expect you have been and are making serious efforts improve yourself. I hope you and I routinely submit our plans to the LORD, seek HIS guidance and promptly respond to HIS guidance. After all HE knows the root causes while I often we are focused on symptoms. ‘Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.’ [Proverbs 19:21 ESV] No doubt you care deeply for those you are responsible for as well as those who rely on you for advice. People tend to grow more reflective and compassionate or more bitter in response to changes thrust upon them. I hop and pray that you and I are helping those who depend on us to adapt gracefully to planned and unplanned changes in our lives and the lives of those we love. I pray for discernment, compassion, and a focus on selfless service and sufficient fruit of the Holy Spirit goodness, humility, and self-control for each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. Enable us to be better listeners and trustworthy companions and supporters of individuals who need attentive companions. LORD, I thank you for guiding each of us day-by-day and hour-by-hour. ‘The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.’ [Psalm 23:1-3 ESV]
I lift US citizens still in Afghanistan, including prisoners of the Taliban and future hostages; Christian Afghanis, Afghanis who materially assisted US and allied forces, and young Afghanis who appreciate the relative freedom they have enjoyed to YOU, dear LORD. You are the Author, Sustainer, and Fulfiller of hope for all of humanity. I pray that YOU fulfill the hope of the generations of people in Afghanistan who support freedom for all including education of boys and girls in schools. I pray for peace for the spouse, children, parents, coworkers, neighbors, and friends who have been forced to go through unexpected and tragic changes this year including those killed in Kabul on Aust 26, 2021, those murdered on the streets and in houses, and all other causes of death this year to YOU. 'I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. [John 16:33 ESV]
The LORD admonishes each of us to submit our plans to HIM.
