Good “Tuesday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from a calm wind and slight overcast sky of the SW corner of the Greater Boston Area!

We are all very pleased to see that you arrived home safely in Castle Rock, Co after your seemingly endless 10,000 mile RIPRIDE4VETS 2021!!! It is a ride for the record books, my friend... I am also so pleased that you were able to stop by the Norwood MA ELKS lodge on day 11 and break bread with the ELKS, NAM KNIGHTS of AMERICA, Rolling Thunder MA Ch 1, and of course some of my DAV Chapter 90 members... I am sure that God was your co-rider during most of the Ride... You are an awesome Man among Men, my friend... There are very few who would undertake such a trip via motorcycle..., all to benefit others...

Today’s Message is: “Time Flies Day!” Why Not?

“The most beautiful moments always seemed to accelerate and slip beyond one’s grasp just when you want to hold onto them for as long as possible.” - E.A. Bucchianeri, Brushstrokes of a Gadfly

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot." ― Michael Altshuler

"Life is flying by. You don't have time to waste another minute being negative, offended or bitter. If someone did you wrong, get over it and move forward." - Joel Osteen

"Has it ever struck you ... that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quickly you hardly catch it going? It’s really all memory ... except for each passing moment." - Eric Kandel

"When you’re engaged in what you love to do, it’s like driving in the fast lane. Time flies by and more roads open up to you, alternate routes you may not have even known existed." - T. Harv Eker

And what better way to describe time... Read on...

“Time does fly, and it has blown by over the last 20 days as I crossed 32 states and met a number of ‘Warriors’ and friends along the way and made new friends that will last a lifetime – my hope is that I left a positive impression!" — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect that many people have benefited from your advice, friendship and time spent with them. Hopefully volunteering your time, talents, and treasures over the years has inspired many to emulate you. No doubt your friendly smiles and greetings [even if masked] has blessed family, friends, and strangers. I hope and pray that the light and love of the LORD shined through us and penetrates the soul of those who need encouragement, compassion, and listening ears. ''Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. … and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.' [Romans 13:7-8] my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

LORD I pray that YOU cleanse us of wasting time in foolishness and activities that lure us away from what is good, honorable and true. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear YOU and a heart/soul sensitive to YOU Holy Spirit. I pray for a sufficient increase of clarity of focus, stamina, and compassion for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. 'Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.’ [Philippians 4:8-9 ESV]
I pray that you and I are becoming more selfless and less selfish; more gracious and less vengeful; more compassionate and less bitter; finding it easier to confess and forgive and harder to hold grudges; better listeners and more thoughtful conversationalists. I pray that YOU open our eyes and open our ears to what YOU intend for us to see and hear. Transform our heart and soul to be sensitive to YOU at all times dear LORD. ‘Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.’ [Ephesians 4:29-32 ESV]
I lift those who are infected with presently untreatable diseases, those with terminal cancer, those with other terminal diseases, those in hospice care, and their loved ones to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU guide the mind, hands, and feet of those caring for each, treating them, counseling them and preparing them and their loved ones for the death of the patient. YOU are the author of life. Man knows not his time of demise and YOU know exactly when, where and how each one is to be born and each one’s death. I pray that YOU bless each one who is grieving for any reason tonight with abundant peace, joy and the ability to sleep well tonight with pleasant dreams. 'Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.' [1 Peter 5:6-7 ESV]
LORD YOU know the foolish leaders, sycophants, agnostics, cult members, and atheists. By YOUR grace and patience YOU are allowing them to be relatively free in their minds and to lord it over others for a season. By YOUR grace YOU allow time to pass in order that more will recognize their own need for wisdom and a relationship with YOU. YOUR patience is a blessing. ‘What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory' [Romans 9:22-23 ESV]
Remember the admonishment of the LORD in how we spend our time.
a. Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.’
b. Isaiah 55:6-7 ESV ‘Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.’
c. Romans 13:11-14 ESV 'Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.'
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Tuesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Wednesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. Time does fly...
We heard from all our children and some of our grandchildren on Father's Day and I remembered clearly when most of them were born. Now we have grandchildren who have graduated college and I find myself wondering where the time has gone!
When things are not going well, we tend to wish the time away. Most of us have had a tour or two like that but when we look back we find it went faster than we thought and often we let what was wrong blind us to the things that we should have been focused on instead. We can't go back but what we can do is be "present" as much as possible and focus on the "now" and make every minute count going forward.

So have I Charlie, it seems not too long ago, I was jumping out of airplanes, now I can't even jump out of my chair. One of my grandsons Dauson is in College and Adam is a surgeon in Delaware. My youngest granddaughter is 5 years old, hopefully, I will hold on long enough to see them graduate from college or at least high school. I have 5 beautiful granddaughters and three handsome grandsons!
