Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. The crazier and more chaotic the situation, the more critical it is that you stay calm. I learned that working in the Emergency Room. When someone is brought in with devastating injuries or when there is a code, it is "organized chaos" We are running but we all know what we are supposed to do and we do it. To an outsider, it looks like madness but we are all calm and ticking off the checklists of what needs to be done and in what order. Without a calm mind this would be a disaster.
Most of us have been in similar situations in the military. Unexpected VIPs, inspections, accidents, etc. Staying calm and leading people to a solution is critical. Your troops always know if you can lead in those situations and we should not fail them.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Awesome response on the calm Charlie. Love the quotes you picked this morning. I'm having a calm day today...

“Take a deep breath. Breathe in deeply and slowly. Focus on the positive. Surround yourself with positive people. Start to relax. Keep this in mind…

‘One of the best lessons you can learn in life is to master how to remain calm.’ — Unknown Author

May you learn to keep calm, calm the mind, and gain that inner peace every time the situation calls for it or just to start out your day; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect that you are calm in unexpected situations and that you help others to calm down and remain calm in stressful circumstances. No doubt you are an inspiration to many others from your family members through fellow service members and veterans based on your increasingly steadfast character. I expect many have recognized your ability to be calm and rational in facing unforeseen problems and issues. I pray that you and I do our best to focus our creativity to encourage others and brings smiles as much as possible. 'For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ [Galatians 5:13-14 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray for common sense, stability, calmness under pressure, and an increase of the fruit of the spirit goodness and self-control for each and every adopted son and daughter of God who reads this prayer or listens to it. LORD I am thankful that YOU are in complete control of every aspect of our life and all of creation. YOU are all powerful, supreme in love, supreme in justice and supreme in mercy. ‘Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.’ [Proverbs 17:27-28 ESV]
I pray that the LORD cleanses each of us any impurity which hinders HIS love from flowing through us and that we increasingly demonstrate compassion for others who are suffering, including widows, widowers and orphans in their distress. I expect that your character has been firmed in the fires of testing and that and that you are kind enough to offer hope to many. ‘we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.’ [Romans 5:3b-5 ESV]
I lift the families, small-business owners, towns, counties and states which have been severely impacted by top-down decisions that disrupted their communities to YOU LORD. From the Federal energy decisions/executive orders/regulation changes through the opening of the southwest border resulting in an influx of migrants which is in danger of overwhelming support capabilities, law enforcement; and an increased risk of contagious disease increase, many are being challenged to function well. I pray that YOU bless the local through state decision makers with insight to develop solutions and ranges of approaches to the complex problems facing them. 'do not be anxious about anything ... by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts. [Phil 4:6-7 ESV]
I pray that each drug mule, cartel infiltrator and all others intent on doing harm will be identified, charged and tried efficiently. I pray the convicted will be sent to their nation of origin. I pray that YOU thwart the criminals, terrorists and cartels from their evil plans to ship drugs, sex slaves, and other slaves, and all other evil plans. ‘Let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing them! For without cause they hid their net for me; without cause they dug a pit for my life. Let destruction come upon him when he does not know it! And let the net that he hid ensnare him; let him fall into it—to his destruction’ [Psalm 35:6-8 ESV]
I pray that you and I heed the admonition of the LORD
a. Luke 14:26-28 ESV 'If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
b. Ephesians 5:13-16 ESV “But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Thursday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Friday morning. By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good “Thursday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the temporarily sunny skies of the SW Florida shores... I had to postpone the Meet and Greet with our friend yesterday as mother nature was not cooperating with me... We are rescheduling...and are being calm...

Today is: “Keep Calm Day!” Why Not?

“The ideal of calm exists in a sitting cat.” ― Jules Renard

“Patience is not the ability to wait. Patience is to be calm no matter what happens, constantly take action to turn it to positive growth opportunities, and have faith to believe that it will all work out in the end while you are waiting.” ― Roy T. Bennett

“Nothing conquers the chaos around me like the calm assurance that I am at peace with God.” ― Ron Brackin

“Patience, more than the ability to bear pains or endure waiting, is to be calm no matter what happens – constantly take action to turn it to positive growth opportunities – and have faith to believe that it will all work out in the end while you are waiting.” ― Roy T. Bennett

“Don’t let the rain drive you to the wrong shelter; the shade can turn out to be your protector and also your destroyer, and sometimes the rain is the perfect protector from the rain.” ― Michael Bassey Johnson

“Peaceful disputes are maintained when men sincerely believe that they are morally, logically correct about the issues at hand. It is when neither side is really certain that wars are instigated.”― Criss Jami

“Knowing when you should weigh up your options, remain calm and not take everything at face value has certain benefits. Ending the day with a peaceful soul is one…” ― Virginia Alison

What constitutes the best approach to solving and issue and who exhibits them? Read on...

“Leaders that are poised and confident keep calm before, during, and after the storms has hit!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
