Good Sunday morning Col Burroughs and Posse. A good day to rejoice if you are still on this side of the ground! That's kind of my philosophy. There is always something to celebrate; sometimes we just have to look a little harder for it. I am enjoying the slightly cooler weather, the sunshine, the peace of a Sunday morning, the birdsong...and a hug from my significant other. It's all good. I hope you have no trouble finding things to help your heart rejoice today and every day.

Amen to that Lt Col Charlie Brown It’a tremendous joy to awaken each morning with my bride beside me. And I thank the Almighty God for leading me to her, all the way from Germany to Texas and that she agreed to marry
me and return to Europe with me. Such joy was unimaginable, after the rigors of combat and unexpected pain of sudden divorce. Now I rejoice in each day.

I expect you have experienced the joy of the LORD many times during worship, praise and thanksgiving. Hopefully the LORD has blessed you with peace and joy while you grieved are currently grieving. I expect that your resilience in the face of unexpected trials and testing has grown significantly since your personal salvation. I hope that you are calm in unexpected situations and help others to calm down and remain calm in stressful circumstances. No doubt you are thankful for the love of family and friends and you enjoy spending and investing time with them. Hopefully your relationship with family and friends will continue to blossom and bear abiding fruit for time and eternity. I hope and pray that you and I are grateful to the LORD and we offer thanks to HIM spontaneously. ‘I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.’ [3 John 1:2-3 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray for an increase of the fruit of the Holy Spirit goodness and gentleness for each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. LORD, I thank you for renewing the mind of each of us as YOU transform the soul of each of us into a perfect reflection of YOUR image through YOUR sanctification of each of us. YOU cause the soul of each of us to shine abundantly as our maturing soul increasingly reflects YOUR image. 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.' [Romans 12:2 ESV]
I lift parents, spouses, grandparents, aunts and uncles to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU bless us with discernment, spontaneity, eagerness to bless others, and abundant joy as we do our best to give pleasant surprises to loved ones and even strangers. I pray for eyes to see and observe and ears to hear and listen to better understand what pleases our loved ones as well as what displeases them. 'Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep' [Romans 12:15 ESV].
I lift those struggling along the road of life because of grief, pain, weakness, fear, abuse and/or injustice to YOU, LORD including the guiltless imprisoned, those afflicted with PTSD and mental illness. I pray for sufficient endurance and a strengthening of the character if each one of us who is going through harder times than we have previously experienced – including widows, widowers, divorcees, and others whose hopes, dreams, and love has been upended LORD, YOU know how much each individual can bear. YOU build character in each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters through challenges, trials and periods of suffering. We recognize that YOU build character through our challenges. Strengthen our endurance through these trails dear LORD. ‘Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.' [Romans 5:3-5 ESV]
I am thankful LORD that YOU designed each of us to physically, emotionally and mentally heal. By YOUR grace we build up immune responses to what we are exposed to as a general rule. YOU empower us to grieve loss and gently heal after sufficient time. I pray that YOU bless the individuals and teams working to develop the vaccines and treatments for the variants of SARS-CoV-2 and related diseases with knowledge, patience, and sufficient skill to understand what needs to be done and the endurance to do what needs to be done, step by step. ‘For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up. [Ecclesiastes 8:1-3 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Sunday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Monday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good “Sunday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the now overcast skies of the Greater Boston Area, where we have a slight chance of some rain today... I do not know how you managed to drive 18 hours straight through to Texas, Mikel... God must have been riding on your shoulder, my friend... I am usually tired after 3-4 hours max!!! So glad you arrived safely back...

Today is: “Rejoice Day!” Why Not?

"Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think." Horace

"We do not rejoice in victories. We rejoice when a new kind of cotton is grown and when strawberries bloom in Israel." - Golda Meir

"Let my name stand among those who are willing to bear ridicule and reproach for the truth's sake, and so earn some right to rejoice when the victory is won." - Louisa May Alcott

"Rejoice in the prosperity of others. When you feel contemptuous, or even a twinge of jealousy, toward the accomplishments or life-styles of others, you are harboring negativity where love must reside." - Wayne Dyer

Embrace today! Embrace the new day! Yesterday is gone forever. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. All we have is now and a great day to look forward to. Today is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it!" - DeWayne Owens

And alas...,

“Rejoice in the many blessings we have this fine day and every day – stay positive and find your happiness in life!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Happy, Safe return to your new home COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I am still a work in progress to see the glass half full and not half empty. So, rejoicing in the face of how much better a matter turns out verse how bad it is is a win.

You'll get there PO3 Phyllis Maynard I have no doubt in your faith and abilities... Thanks for the welcome back Phyllis... Have a blessed day my very good friend...

It’s good to be back today on RallyPoint today…

“There are so many great reasons to rejoice and be optimistic, rather than being negative and pessimistic. Find that silver lining in everything we experience and do. Really rejoice in yourself and what you’ve accomplished or have yet to accomplish. That leads me to this quote…

‘Really rejoice in being yourself. Have your own drumbeat.” — Kim Cattrall

May always find the reasons in life to rejoice; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
