For most of us improving personal relationships is near the top if not the most important for each of us. I hope that you make good use of your time and effort and encourage those most dear to you to focus effort on improving relationships. I hope and pray that the LORD blesses each of us with wisdom and endurance in these challenging times. ‘Let brotherly love continue. Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse; I am off duty today but probably back on tomorrow. More flights are coming in.
I am watching this whole situation and seeing how people are going back to the basics of survival. Get yourself and your family to a safe place, pare down what you can carry to the minimum and take care of those you are responsible for.
We are doing our best when people get to us to help with the basics, food, water, shelter, a place to unload the experience. Red Cross is really good at providing the basics of survival and more. I am honored to be able to do my part in it but saddened that it is necessary. And a shout out to those Red Cross folks responding elsewhere to wildfires and flooding who are providing the basics on the ground elsewhere.

I pray that YOU enable us to see clearly and hear clearly what YOU know we should do – day-by-day and hour-by-hour. For most of us improving personal relationships is near the top if not the most important for each of us. I hope that you make good use of your time and effort and encourage those most dear to you to focus effort on improving relationships. I hope and pray that the LORD blesses each of us with wisdom and endurance in these challenging times. ‘Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.’ [Hebrews 13: 1-2 ESV]
I lift the situation in Kabul, Afghanistan to YOU LORD. YOU know the situation of every citizen of the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, India and others in Kabul whose lives are at risk as well as those Afghani’s who risked their lives to provide support to the allies. I pray that none will die or be killed outside of persona relationship with YOU. I pray that YOU bless those who are working to extricate these individuals and families with wisdom, skill, discernment and success as they do all that is necessary to recuse those in peril. ‘keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.’ [Jude 1:21-23 ESV]
I pray that you and I heed the admonition of the LORD on the rock-solid foundation Christ:
a. ‘Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. [Luke 6:47-48 ESV]
b. Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” [Matthew 22:36-40]
I pray that you and your family members slept well Wednesday night and will awoke refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
